  • Amateur nets around Australia

    There are a number of active nets that can be heard around the south east coat of Australia. I’ve stumbled on many of them, but many assume people know their raison d’ĂȘtre, or what they are about, so I shall start adding them here. Feel free to contact me if you know of more.

    Times shown are Australian Easter Standard Time (not DST), and UTC.

    6:30am (yep! 6:30!) / 22:30UTC: Mid South Coast Amateur Radio Group – a super friendly, gift-of-the-gab crew for general discussion from the weather to antennas every Monday, Wednesday and Friday on 7.065Mhz.

    8:00am / 0:00UTC : Sydney Northerns Suburbs group on 7.095 Mhz. Days TBA. I think most weekdays.

    4:00pm. /6:00 UTC : Amateur Radio-Club Kandos – ARK. 7.193 weekdays. Simiar to the MSCAR group above, but more wide-spread. If you can hear them (and they can hear you), you’re on!

    5:00pm / 7:00 UTC : Triple H Net. DX group started in the USA in 1976. 7.190Mhz weekdays.

    7:30pm / 9:30 UTC : 3.665Mhz, Wednesday’s – Illawarra Amateur Radio Net.
